My dad did the same thing when I was young. He would read a few pages each night before bed to me and my brother. Its one of my fondest memories of him and something i still remember now. Fast forward many years I'm now 30 and about 6 months pregnant and I already can't wait to be able to do the same when he gets old enough.
I hope your daughter has as many fond memories of you reading it with her and I do with my dad!
