I'm in tech and work remotely. We were initially drawn to Northampton and Easthampton, but ultimately found a truly lovely place in Westhampton, which is more rural, but still just 10 minutes away from Northampton and Easthampton, unlike most of the other Hilltowns which are mostly 20 or more minutes away.

If you happen to be part of the LGBTQ+ community, then look no further. You've found your peeps. This is the place you want to be, hands down.

A huge bonus for Westhampton if you have little kids is that the elementary school is ridiculously good (rated 9 on GoodSchools).

Feel free to DM me if you want to chat more about this area.

It's a matter of getting legal advice and being damned sure they get out right. While it seems obvious that it should be taxable, they have clearly identified at least one potential legal reason why it could be that it might not be taxable, so they want to be sure. Fixing that later will be extremely costly if they get this wrong.

Not to mention that with just 30k down, that puts you within reach of purchasing a property worth 150k, since anything less than 20% forces you into extra PMI payments, which also slows down your loan processing, which delays the closing more than just securing financing. And then there's the reality that most places you put in an offer on, if someone offers the same amount with cash, the seller will almost always go with that due to not having the sale having to be contingent on securing financing at all.

It truly is unfair at every turn.

Uh, no... Look at the bill again. The very first item...

> Your Xfinity package $129.99 Signature+ More Includes Limited Basic, Expanded Basic (Kids & Family, Entertainment, Sports & News), Digital Preferred Tier, Epix, HD, DVR Service, Gigabit Plus Internet, Unlimited Voice and Netflix Standard HD Plan.

That's very much both TV, premium channels, DVR, and phone service all in there.

And Verizon doesn't also charge these insane TV-related fees? Of course they do. Anyway, the key here is dropping the TV portion of the service and keeping just internet service. Also, not everyone has fios or another fiber internet provider.
