I was refering to the concept of "subzero", which is used a lot in metric countries, but I can't imagine it being that useful in you operate in F.

Wasn't refering to the relevance of 0°C to vehicles.

In Earth's case I believe one hypothesis is that the impact of two planets created Earth and its moon. The incredible heat of our core may simply be left over from this collision.

I think at this point, this idea of dating things by magnetic field recordings in burnt things may still be in need of more believers. Using it to confirm biblical events doesn't help the technology to gain following and support IMO. Don't get me wrong, it could be perfectly reasonable and accurate, but it's the perfect storm of weirdness when you're first hearing of a new technique in this context.

Exploring how smart fish can be, or whether or not they experience pain & suffering, might just be a fantastic use of tax dollars - it could end up reducing demand for seafood, which is in decline and threatened by global warming.
