I can understand opposing this but fighting by being savages is gross. I truly hope its just a protest and doesn't become another riot.

"We want to protect the forest!" But set heavy machinery on fire which is going to pour toxins into the air? Have all the gas, oil, antifreeze pour out into the earth? Spread garbage and trash all over which will go into the forest? Attack innocents who havent done anything? Yeah I'm all set joining THAT kind of protest.

You do have many valid points but no ones going to listen because of how you wrote it. Kill people with kindness, you attract more bees with honey, etc. If you come out attacking people they'll ignore it completely. Whether people agree or disagree because of how its written you'll be downvoted and no one will pay attention.

I did get Karen vibes but this is VT, theres lots of them here. Guess the saying a lack of planning on your end does not constitute an emergency on my end, fits well here and is the gist of what you meant. But still, thinking OP looks down on mail workers/delivery people based on this is a bit of a stretch. May be true but not a fair assessment. But this is an update to OPs original post which was a question, that is how reddit works, not narcissistic to post an update especially if people were interested in if OP solved it. Yet at the same time OP had an update in the old post and this seems more ranty so maybe your original narcissist point is valid. I'd be embarrassed personally to contact the Senator over lost mail personally but hey, not my circus not my monkey

This could just be a rant post... It's normal for people to rant about things many others have issue with such as USPS. Calling OP a narcissist isn't right especially since this post could help others in the future with the same issue and dont know what to do.

Yes I agree contacting our Senator seems overkill but if it helped OP who are we to judge? It got the job done, if it really was such a no no they wouldn't of replied or helped. That's what our leaders are supposed to do, help. Even if its something as small as mail. Plus since so many have issues with USPS maybe this will get them to pay attention and work to solve the issue.

If it's from Ebay using Ebay shipping company its normal. I get multiple packages "Delivered" when it's still in Indiana. But here in St Albans USPS is garbage

That's partly why her current care is so crap. The people taking care of her are... Not the best. They're relatives but okay with making around $3.15 an hour for 5x 24hr shifts weekly, they've recently thrown a fit because they finally realized 4 months in their hourly wage... They're getting EXACTLY what they pay for. My aunt's excuse,"Room and board is included that's a great deal!". They're all too concerned with maintaining their inheritance to actually pay up. It's a disgusting situation.

Phil Scott seems to be well liked because he's not radical. He goes and does things that both sides like/can appreciate. This is how most leaders should be imo, we should all work together. Even though hes Republican hes proved himself as a leader so even though hes "Republican" VTers look past the label to the actual person. I hope voting doesnt change in this regard, we need to follow how the person actually is and not how they identify politically, that's how we end up with terrible leaders.

Many Vermonters are in the middle, they agree with both sides/policies. We may be a blue state but we have a good mix of both sides which I think is how things should be

Realistically in VT as it is it cannot work. We don't have enough stations and it leaves people stranded with a dead car. I never said gas is better just its not realistic with the lack of charging stations and long drives here. This is why theres so many dead EVs all over, didnt realize this was such a triggering statement

Had to do a 3 hour drive down to southern VT over the summer to get a tractor. Beautiful weather but there was an accident on the interstate that had traffic at a stand still for miles. From that point up until we made it to our destination it was just constant dead Teslas on the side of the road.

VT isn't really the state for electric vehicles unless you can stay in the cities such as Essex/Burlington imo.

What is with people being so cruel now a days? Plenty of people dont pay attention to social media and crap, many like to get outside and live- you know how most Vermonters have always been. It was a damn fishing derby, if the ice was THAT thin and dangerous the officials should of cancelled it.

Losing people is never a joking matter, no wonder Vermont has become such a mess lately if people have attitudes like that.

I have a 2 bedroom trailer and we use propane for heating and cooking. I want to say we spend about $1100 during the winter on propane. Summer is pretty low/non existent since its only for cooking and we normally have enough left over from winter to last the summer, may end up needing a fill in September/October. Just checked and each delivery is about 130 gallons and we get deliveries every 1.5 months. After some repairs each delivery is lasting a little longer but homes are alot different than trailers.

It's hard to put a correct number because theres alot of variants like super cold streaks, extra warm streaks, how well insulated your place is(mine had ALOT of water damage when bought), etc.

I'm not entirely sure if this is helpful but here in Saint Albans, atleast in my sons class, theres no issues I've ever seen or heard of. Granted my sons only in 3rd grade. But his school did a big rally last year about treating everyone the same and we're all the same no matter skin color with the BLM flag. Many schools are doing the same.

BUT there was a story on the news the other day where there were racist insults used at a game, Milton vs Fairfax. It was a "fan" who did it but considering its Milton I'm not surprised. Most of the towns with racism aren't popular destinations, and from the last 15 or so years it's been weeded out for the majority, so I'd think Killington would be a great area to bring your family!
