Bad take. These words are used by kids. I highly doubt the words kids use will be the one that everyone will use. As a 26 year old, I don’t use such words. I also doubt you can use such words for formal letters and academics.
Edit: I also wanted to add that our generation also either came up with words or shortened others and used them all the time as the ‘trending word’ before it all died out. Let’s not give kiddy words such attention
