even in basketball the best players will score 50 on rare occasions. Teams are making 100 points a game, you do absolutely need a team.

I'm curious how this theory - which makes a lot of sense - interacts with things like meditation. If you meditate a lot you can essentially maintain perfect focus. I guess consciousness (our perception of reality) and decision making influenced by our environment are different things.

Isn't that exactly what it is? It's so prevalent that I can't imagine that it's truly an 'illness', as much as an alternative brain development pathway that happens to not be very compatible with a lot of society's requirements today.

From my own experience (assuming the many people in my life calling me smart are correct), I think decision-making is a huge part of it too. I have poor decision-making skills despite my possible intelligence.
