We went with Revision but they're so booked out that they're hard to recommend. If you're in Southern Maine, Assured Solar and Maine Solar Solutions were two other companies I worked with on quotes and felt confident that they would do an excellent job. My neighbors went with Assured and had nothing but glowing reviews for them.

I didn't realize I was such a rebel as a child

2-story, 2000sq/ft. We're using around 1500kWh per month at the moment. We have solar panels and banked credits so what we're paying isn't an accurate comparison. We have propane going downstairs and our heat pump running in the master. All appliances are just under 2 years old. Seems like you might be right on track? Though $400/month is a tough pill to swallow.

I bet it's because the street is relatively new (turned public just a few years ago). I'll call and see. Fingers crossed.

We haven't lost power at all through the storms. Last week Spectrum went down for an hour (around midnight) so I figured I'd see if it would fix itself before calling today.

In Saco, went out around 915 and is still out. Happened during last week's storm as well. We haven't last power at all though. Why does this always seem to happen with Spectrum?

I drove from Saco to Portland this morning (fully recognizing that this is nowhere near the length of the drive you'd make), but it wasn't so much the condition of I-95 as much as it's the 40-50mph gusts of wind that will catch your vehicle. I'd say it's doable but be cautious. Also I was in my Tacoma without 4wd on.

I priced them out along with Revision and Assured. Ended up going with Revision (since they do hear pump installs as well) but I thought MSS was decent. I would've been confident in choosing them but I felt Revision and Assured were more personable and walked me through a lot of stuff in the process. Like when looking at quotes and systems, divide the cost by the amount of watts your array is set to produce (i.e. 6.75 kWh array for $20k; 20,000 ÷ 6,750 = a cost of $2.96/watt). I found this hopefully when I was researching solar last year.

If you're still getting quotes, I recommend checking out Assured. Recommended Assured to a neighbor and they loved Assured. They did a 38 panel array in two days. It's harder for me to recommend Revision now since they're so overbooked.
