I don't know the story behind this, but the second sentence:
> We operate outside the structure of the Libertarian Party, but that does not invalidate our associations with it.
We are not the libertarian party, but just pretend we are.

This is one of the major things that drove me away from the left, despite considering myself a democrat for over a decade. The younger generation on the left doesn't grasp what bigotry is or why it's bad. They proclaim they're "anti racist" over and over, but it's so clear they're just repeating what they think they're supposed to say while having zero grasp of the concepts. The older people still on the left are in the same boat. Those who do grasp it have all distanced themselves from democrats and progressives by now.

No, you're thinking progressives.
Kids can't consent. That's a massive violation of the NAP.

Yeah, I've seen the stories, they're out there.
This just looks like an edgy kid in the footage. Skinny pants, those kind of sneakers with khakis, something about his build says 22 at the oldest IMO. While I picture the official groups looking a little more "chud"-like. Also, I imagine the official groups would be more careful about blatant vandalism vs the protests in broad daylight that piss everyone off because people can't easily stop them legally.
Not saying it definitely is a teenage edgelord, but if I had to put money on it, that's where my bet would be.

I'm betting on troubled zoomer edgelord. Not that there aren't actual nazi groups in the area.

Not a free stater, but their explicit purpose is to build a community.. They do all sorts of meetups and events because that's explicitly what they're trying to do.

Probably because they didn't know about it.
The story wasn't given that much attention by MSM. It took a week or so of enough people talking about it online to bring it to people's attention.
And what do you mean there's nothing rational about people being concerned for their health and safety? It's one thing to explain to people why you don't think they should worry, it's another to try and shoot them down for asking questions.

Why would it be unreasonable for them to be concerned for their health and safety?

Are you saying people outside of it have "no right" to be concerned?

Idk if that's sarcasm or if black pollen's a thing. But I haven't seen it. And I lived in Burlington for about six years.

It is, but people are rightfully concerned. There's not much clear info on the fallout of this thing. Obviously you can't hold your breath for a few days, but if you had reason to believe the chemicals were blowing over your area, you might decide to hang out indoors most of the day vs go hiking.

My thoughts exactly. I don't go that close to downtown on it because the encampments tend to be down there, but I use the north-west ends of it all the time.

What's the wasted space? The parking lot / Dover river trail? Or are there abandoned lots around it?

You're hopeless.
