Weird, because in the previous comment you said firearm is banned in NYC, now you’re saying it’s not.
Do you enjoy pwning yourself?

First of all, guns aren’t banned in NYC.
Second of all, because of “open border” with states with lax gun laws.
I suppose you support federal and uniform gun control?

Not sure about that. Top post on this sub is literally about republicans declaring war against Santos.

In AMERICA. AMERICA. I think New Yorkers like to tout the safest city in the US stat, but now inflate it to the world.
NYC is highly dangerous compared to any other major city in a developed country.
Like I literally can walk around in Taipei, in any neighborhood, and I will not be robbed, have my stuff stolen, beat up, or be victim of a violent crime, or any crime period.

I mean, I didn't say any race should be any percentage. If anything the person I was responding to is talking about racial quota more. I'm simply stating that decreasing in black population doesn't seem out of the normal in terms of national demography.

Uptown is boring period.
If you want diversity and actually a high amount of things to do, you need to be downtown.
Hell, the most expensive neighborhoods in NYC are downtown.

It just depends on where you are, no? I’m in Manhattan and it can’t be more diverse everywhere.

I mean, Hispanic are 18% of US population, blacks are 12%. Black people were always over represented in NYC. If anything, it makes sense there are more Hispanics in NY now.

I know this is unpopular but gentrification is what brought lower crime rate, stores, and other amenities into neighborhoods that didn’t have them.
People should see West Chelsea before it was gentrified, it was just warehouses and gas stations.

Yes, I believe they added a scar, and rather than a beautiful woman with a scar, we're supposed to see her as hideous.
What's interesting is that iirc, she's supposed to actually be hideous in the book. Much like how Tyrion is supposed to be really ugly in GoT.

New Yorkers are honestly nicer than the stereotype suggests. Just don’t walk on the sidewalk in parallel and you’ll be fine.

I don’t know the percentage, but a large amount of townhouses were converted to multi family rentals from 60s onwards, so that owners could collect rent. Often times configured as an owners unit and multiple rentals.
That’s also when many stoops were removed in favor of ground level entrance.
However, in the last 20-25 years, it’s been going the opposite direction, and multi families have been converted to single family.
Townhouses are really rare and coveted.

If a rule is so bad that a significant percentage of the residents do not follow it, then I would say that the rule shouldn't have been in place anyway.
Also, you must be fun during the civil rights era.

Considering they've not levied any fines to anyone yet, I'd say it's going pretty damn well.

I’ve only lived in condos, but I know that coops generally have way stricter rules. I do know of condos that only allow service staff to use service elevator though, it really depends on the board.
However, asking owners to use service with dogs is not that common, at least among new buildings. As almost all new buildings are dogs friendly, it’s until the actually board forms that they might modify the rules.

Many luxury buildings don’t. However, not many have rules that owners need to ride service with dogs.

Except that’s not true for the vast majority of high end condos in the city. I’m talking stuff like One57 or any number of Stern buildings.
Maybe that’s the case for coops as I’m not familiar with them.

The person isn’t correct whatsoever. I’ve literally lived in, been to, or looked at, the most expensive buildings in NYC. This isn’t a thing, or at least not a common thing.

Not true whatsoever. I’ve lived in a bunch of luxury buildings, visited a ton, and also house hunted in multiple buildings. That’s from 56 Leonard, to One57, to 432, to Jardam. Only letting dogs be in service is not a common thing whatsoever.
