Vitamix blenders are unkillable (and if you manage to, the company does repairs). Don't think they make minis though. You can find them used.
For food processors, Cuisinart does pretty solid.
A stick/immersion blender is good to make dressing in small quantities. I have an ancient bamix about 22 yrs old that I got from my mom, one button died but the other still works.

yeah they usually sell bags and stuff too, unless they're buying the skin scraps from a company that has already used most of the hide (shoes, furniture, etc)
