Yeah it sucks that tunnel boring is so expensive. But fully electric hypersonic transcontinental rail transport would be really cool.

Without fossil fuels and modern chemical fertilizers, the carrying capacity of the earth is probably a couple billion people lower than the current population.
So it's not going to be "we all."

I wish people would stop spreading this myth. The original Hyperloop proposal is just a vacuum train. An idea that has existed for decades.
The "loop", or whatever they are calling the Teslas in a tunnel idea, is just a road tunnel. An idea that has existed for more than a century.

On the engineering side at least the gaseous phase is definitely referred to as "steam" not "water vapor"
Saturated steam, superheated steam, etc

When the power factor is 1 the power (only real power here because of the pf) oscillates but isn't ever negative.
There's some coefficients in there but basically you square a sinusoidal waveform.
