I can remember the day columbine happened. We went into lockdown and were never allowed backpacks in halls again.

We've been growing up in fear since Columbine and 9/11.

We get them all the time in Blair County. Every time a big storm blows through, gulls appear.

Apparently, you didn't read what I wrote. I have this in my lease documents. I can't vouch for other landlords. I try to be fair.

Not if they needed heat. And I'm not spreading any landlord bullshit thank you. I've had the same tenants for 13 years.

I just meant that I have it in my legal documents that I will maintain and repair/replace all appliances. And if I am unable to do so on a timely manner, you can break your lease with a full refund of the security deposit and that month's rent.

I'd just break the lease. Have them pay for inconveniences and use an electric heater and have then pay the bill. I fix or service anything as soon as it's reported.

If they don't fix it, you have legal grounds to break your lease as a furnace is to be provided and functioning.

There's plenty of need for a stop in Altoona. The transportation terminal is constantly busy. Tyrone on the other hand is not nor is Huntington. If they had a daily commuter from Altoona to State College would be ideal. A lot of people commute to SC for work.
Travis123083 t1_j7lbyvs wrote
It's the landlord's responsibility to maintain and repair the property. As for the appliances, if it's in your lease that they're included, they have to fix/replace them. I wouldn't do any repairs. I own a few properties and have 2 tenants. I have all this included in our signed and notarized lease documents.

Also, I misunderstood OP's post. I was referring to per capita and the other nuisance taxes some counties like to impose. So I apologize for being stupid.

I double-checked my paystub and they do take it out. But I always end of owing money. Never happened in centre County.

I believe they do here also. But it's never enough. When I lived in Centre County I always got a nice local return. But not in blair Co.

It's a nuisance! If they want my tax money, take it out of my check as everyone else does.

I know how you feel. My locality sent me to collections for taxes I already paid. Thankfully I keep anything tax related for 5 or more years. Without it, I would of had to pay another 300 dollars.

It's a nuisance tax, but sadly if you don't do it they'll garnish your wages or threaten imprisonment.

Sinking valley is just gorgeous in itself. When I take people up there, it's either Tytoona cave or Arch springs we visit.

I remember going to school before all this, and my parents never had to worry about whether I'd be shot or not. The biggest worry was cars hitting us or being kidnapped.
