Also look at North Kingston. Easier to get to Kingston train station if thats important. East Greenwich or North Kingston on west Bay side. Barrington, Bristol for east bay side. Also possibly look at the Edgewood section of Cranston. Might be harder to find an available house there but a million times better connected to everything you are looking for.

I drive this every day… its going to add 20 minutes to my commute easily and for no reason… every day will be a traffic jam where there was rarely one before.

Maybe but from the better schools and better put together people those are the places. You might find a house to rent in that price range if you are looking at Portsmouth. Lots more rental properties on the island due to the transitory nature of a Navy base being there. My brother found a great place to rent while stationed at the War College.

Same here, got oil heat, though I do test that everything is working around Columbus Day... would rather have the time to get things up and running before the real cold arrives!
