That’s a great idea. I recently bought some. And had no idea what to do. I made a mess until it got mixed up enough to actually stir. Should have come here for advice.
Of course, a drill with a beater could have been even messier lol

Kitchenaid rocks. At least, the higher end stuff. I literally just made an espresso from my espresso maker I bought in 2007. My 2003 fridge, dishwasher and microwave still look and run like new. Oh, and my stand mixer from 1997 is flawless, too.
I actually bought the coffee maker, grinder, and espresso machine on 2007. They’re from the pro-line (or Artisan line in Europe) and they all work beautifully. I also take care of my stuff and follow the use and care guides, and perform minor repairs if needed.
My 1992 hand mixed did just die. It didn’t really “die”, but there’s a plastic part inside that holds the main beater in place. It wore out over 30 years, and the part simply is not available.
The lower-end stuff, like the toasters, basic coffee makers and probably hand mixers, are just more basic appliances stamped out en masse in Asia with a kitchen aid label slapped on them, and maybe aren’t that great. Not sure.
