Restaurants as they exist can only ever trend towards being horrible places to work. We need radically different ideas of going out to eat if we want an industry that doesn't function off of chewing up and spitting out the people that make it tick.

Assume everything in the city is contaminated with a mixture of feces, pesticides, heavy metals, and mystery fun chemicals that make God fear what he hath wrought. Try some of the less disturbed parklands around here, the James River Park System is very sparing with chemicals and Southside has lots of native plants remaining, at least relatively speaking. The suburban parks should be great places to go walk around a hunt for stuff as well.
