Well, this family situation is unsustainable. You will never dig yourself out of debt if you take it upon yourself to financially support two non-working adults.

The best solution is probably to get a cheaper ring, but if you're not willing to compromise on that, why not get a credit credit card with a 0% APR promo AND a sign up bonus?

If a parent lets his toddler wander off and then takes virtually no efforts to find the toddler, wouldn't that parent be charged with child abuse or neglect?

Victor Frankenstein is guilty, but not of murder.
Consider this more mundane situation. A woman wants to have a baby, so she gets pregnant, gives birth... and then finds that she's not very interested in being a mother. She treats the kid like crap. After 18 years of her shitty parenting, the kid goes up... to be a serial killer.
Is the mother responsible for all the murders? Obviously not. Only the murderer is the murderer. But had she abused or neglected the child who grew up to be the serial killer? Absolutely.

No risk (FDIC insurance applies to online banks too). You're just giving up the convenience of having physical branches, in return for much better interest rates.

Consult with a divorce attorney.
Some of the money that your wife earned during the duration of your marriage probably belongs to you.

That doesn't make sense. You're doubling up on a lot of stocks, while completely ignoring others.
Replace both VOO and QQQ with VTI. VTI contains basically every US stock. Add VXUS for international diversification.

I bonds can serve as an emergency fund after the first year.

Pay off the debt now. Then, if you really have an emergency, you can use your card.
