Reply to comment by Evignity in Adoption: Son finally meets birth mum after 58 years by Mrloler70
Having parents is probably one of the most universal, preeminent human experiences. It’s so common that it overlooked. For those of us who don’t know our parents / don’t know our nationality, it’s very important to our ego and identity and to ourselves that we make sense of our place in this world.
It can hardly be explained to someone who has parents or who has their family intact. I could type all afternoon about it but it doesn’t matter because most people cannot place themselves in the shoes of an adoption triad. They can’t imagine their lives without their family and their identity so it’s pointless to try to explain.
Your backlash against adopted kids knowing birth relations is misguided and sad though. People are naturally curious about their origins, both in terms of people and places - it’s a common trait of modern man to wonder how the fuck we arrived here.
You said it yourself, “you’ll never get it”, exactly - you won’t EVER get it because it’s a problem you don’t have to deal with it. I’ll never get what it’s like to be a dog but I sure as hell aren’t outside calling them pricks when they bark.

Apocalypse Cow starring Kermit as Willard and Gonzo as Colonel Kurtz. “Shit. I’m still only in Saigon” Kermit says as he drinks himself stupid before Rolph and Animal take him on a PBR boat fifty clicks up river. “That’s Cambodia, Kermit!” Fozzy Bear says as he smokes a huge joint and tries to keep his squad together through the jungle.

Problem is - that is not City Gardens. City Gardens did not have brick walls inside or outside; the building itself is an old car dealership and it was made from cinder blocks. Inside, the club was painted and they had several large murals on the walls.

Sure but porn is built around the concept of novelty. People want to see new faces, new things and they want their fix every single time they fap. AI will allow these people to view/create their own novelty by creating porn from ANY still images. That means Hollywood actresses, their school mates, their neighbors, perhaps the cast of Golden Girls. Basically they are going to be able to turn anything into porn.
It’s already happening; a few weeks ago someone uploaded a cache of AI generated X rated images of Billie Eilish on 4Chud. Privacy issues in regards to nude photos and revenge porn were one thing that (maybe) could be solved legally but nobody is prepared for the avalanche of anonymously created fake AI porn that is heading our way. Nobody is ready to watch photorealistic S&M Chewbacca mount Ryan Seacrest, I can tell you that.

That doesn’t look like CBGB to me and it would surprise me if they had a pinball machine. I went there 25 times, been downstairs, been in the backroom, been on stage; never saw any room that looked like that. Layout of this room alone (with all those doors) suggests it isn’t CB’s.

Reply to need help figuring out how to get my driving abstract from New Jersey now living in Minneapolis. by irishgambin0
You wouldn’t have to take the driving test or get the permit if you didn’t let your license expire. Never let your license expire, even if you are moving out of state. It can cause all kinds of issues.
You need to call NJ driver services and have them update your address and mail you the abstract. They might charge you $10. If you can’t get them on the phone, then you have to do the six month permit in MN. Both states are participating in AAMVA, which means that your records from NJ will transfer with you seamlessly. Once they get the abstract.
