As long as it's not, like, Houston or Phoenix, it should be fine for biking.

I don't think that would be likely given that human sex development is decided by the presence or absence of the SRY gene. Without that gene activating, you develop female. So without a Y chromosome, the SRY would have to find somewhere else to live.

In the Netherlands, there are plenty of old people who walk or ride bikes. There is even a type of bicycle that is stereotypically for grandmas- "omafiets".

If you're not fit, you can become fit by walking or riding a bike.

There are plenty of disabilities that prevent you from driving, and plenty of motion-based disabilities that let you get around perfectly well with a wheelchair or an adaptive cycle.
-
They make child seats for bicycles so you can bring along kids who are too young to ride their own bikes.

I'd expect not because there are presumably a lot of good restaurants within walking distance, however, assuming there is a grocery store within walking distance (because "walkable areas" implies that everyday necessities like grocery stores are within walking distance), you can also transport groceries on foot or by bike.

This website seems to have some listings. Looks like 1br rent is about 2k and 2br is about 3k.

But if you eat collagen, wouldn't it break down into the same amino acids that it could later be rebuilt from?

Reply to comment by Loki-L in ELI5 why do electric vehicles have one big battery that's hard to replace once it's expired, rather than lots of smaller ones that could be swapped out based on need (to trade off range/power/weight)? by ginonofalg
This. Swapping out batteries is possible by default on the vast majority of ebikes, because you take the battery out to charge it. But car batteries are just too big to take out easily.

Cope. Electric bikes > electric cars for short trips, and trains > electric cars for long trips. This goes double for countries that haven't already sunk billions into car infrastructure and would need to build that out from scratch.

I'm more interested in their electric bike fleet. They could do it nationwide if cities actually built bike infrastructure.

Reply to comment by FillThisEmptyCup in Inexpensive and environmentally friendly mechanochemical recycling process recovers 70% of lithium from batteries by chrisdh79
If the standard of living goes up fast enough, developing nations can leapfrog past car-dependency and save their battery capacity for highly battery-efficient micromobility vehicles like ebikes, etrikes, and escooters.
An ebike equipped with a 1KWh battery can go 30 to 50 miles on a charge with throttle alone, while a Tesla Model 3 with 70KWh of battery capacity can go 300 to 375 miles on a charge. That's 70 times as much lithium for only ~8x as much distance, which means that hauling a whole car around with you is about ten times less efficient than an ebike.
