No, but I sold that house at the end of 2020. It has not appreciated 50%.

I bought it for 375k, did a DIY renovation and spent 20k, listed for 470k, sold it for 500k. But it was a hoarder house when I bought it, there were dead mice all over the house.

Since I sold it I think it’s worth slightly less. And the person who bought I from me had an insanely low interest rate like 2% with no down payment so they didn’t care they were paying more.

Biggest waste of money. Why are we spending a billion dollars on fare collection when the trains are not even maintained properly?

I know the MBTA is not a household but the analogy holds that of that if you have a fixed budget you should pay your rent/mortgage before you pay your cable bill.

The T needs to get its deferred maintenance backlog caught up before it even thinks about a luxury like this. And you can’t “chew bubble gum and walk at the same time” if you have a finite ammount of money to spend like the T does.

Until 2024 all towns in commuter rail towns all they have to do to remain compliant is to submit an action plan, they don’t have to actually implement anything.

My town did it it’s a worksheet they fill out. By 2024 they actually have to redone and that’s when you’ll see way more towns out of compliance.

I’m not an architect or have any construction experience so when I said “brick” I meant good looking brick or other material. I see all sorts of new traditional style buildings built in Europe and they look beautiful and look like a part of the neighborhoods they are built in.

All the 5/1’s in Mansfield are a story taller than any other building, and are way more massive too. They stick out like a sore thumb.

Get AAA, and they have their own RMV services. They have an office in the financial district. I got my license easily, haymarket RMV was a nightmare in comparison.

If you live in a neighborhood or city/town with multiple options for internet it’s fine.

I lived in Hyde Park and I could get RCN or Verizon FIOS and RCN was cheap it was $29.99 a month.

I live in Mansfield now and we can get xfinity or Verizon. Xfinity was a ripoff, I went with Verizon $39.99 a month for 300mbps up and down.

It’s sucks for people in places with only xfinity which I think is the north end, and Cambridge. No options there.
