And just throwing this out there....you can camp most anywhere on public reserve land. You just can't have an open fire in places without designated fire rings. If you find a nice clearing somewhere you are allowed to pitch a tent to sleep for the night.

It's less that we are kinder and more that we still follow the 'keep it to yourself' mantra......

Folks in CA, and much of the rest of the country, don't hold their thoughts in their head and share them with everyone, regardless if they should or not.

Not really 'thrift' but consignment/antique shops...but maybe you'll find something interesting:

Jellison Trader on 201 Augusta across from the Big Apple.

Elmer's on 17 just before Peasley's.

Stonybrook on 3 in Augusta

Ron Reeds just off 3 in China

Toy Store on the corner of 3 and 32 in China

Fairfield antique mall on 201

Liberty Tool Company on 173 in Liberty

I question why? There's been no indication that lobster populations are just going to up and disappear. We've been extremely good about maintaining a sustainable industry since the 80s. And we don't have any clue what happened up in Alaska. Until we do, this is fear mongering at best.
