I like this. I’d certainly be interested in participating and helping cultivate such a network. My contribution would be 25+ years of experience as a professional woodworker. I have a nice shop that I’ve been using to help teach others how to make their projects, and I’m always looking for ways to expand that model. Side note: I have no interest in becoming an Open Works or Station North Tool Library. I like making stuff, and I REALLY like empowering others to do the same- under close supervision.

If you’re looking for someone to make a copy for less than you can already purchase it for, please just don’t. It’s insulting. However, if you’re trying to replicate something that’s not readily available, that’s different. More details are needed.

Seconding that. I’ve lived in Bolton Hill, Downtown, Belvedere, Charles Village, and Mt Vernon. Medfield is the best, hands down. It’s quiet, safe, central to transportation, central to bars and shops, and most folks are homeowners, not renters. Good luck!

Nether is a good friend of mine. He credits the Gutierrez Memorial Fund for opening a lot of doors for him as a legitimate muralist. If anyone is interested in supporting creative community based endeavors, please investigate the memorial fund. They’ve funded many public artworks, community foundations, and oddball ideas. Consider the Station North Tool Library, the Baltimore Rock Opera Society, Artblocks, Iteneris, and others.

You might have some luck inquiring about space in the 4000 Buena Vista Avenue building in Medfield/Hampden. I have a woodshop there, and there is a lot of unused space that the owner is eager to fill.
