I visited Brandon once for a wedding. I stayed at the Brandon Inn. Seemed like a decent little town. There is a great bar and restaurant called Ripton Mountain Distillery that I had a good time at and a nice breakfast place next door.

We have two lighthouses. Gurnet light and Bug light. Technically the Bug light is in the middle of the bays but it's closer to Plymouth so I'm claiming it for us, but Gurnet point is part of the town of Plymouth and always has been. And you are right about the artwork not matching either of the lights in Plymouth.

Actually Gurnet point, Saquish, and Clark's Island are parts of Plymouth. You have to drive through duxbury to get there or have a boat, but they belong to Plymouth.

Yes, I know the original post was a pic of BB-2. I was just using the crossposters mistake to vent about the lack of funding for the wonderful museum at Battleship Cove. BB-59 is not currently sinking like the Texas was, but she is slowly losing a battle to corrosion. Considering how much money the Commonwealth wastes every year, a couple million over a couple years for paint and a deck isn't an unreasonable idea.
