I’m happy for the success this shelter had in homeless placement but I know it’s largely a lie. I don’t like the misleading bias in the article. I own a home one street away from it. Literally a 3 minute walk.

  1. The city and council woman approved the site before public insight from the neighborhood and businesses. They did set up a public meeting afterwards but basically said they already approved it and none of our opinions will be heard (I was in the meeting).
  2. Patrols weren’t increase to prevent crime. It’s because property crime skyrocketed when the shelter opened. Myself and neighboring cars got broken into several times. They worded it; justifying the increase of incidents because they were proactive with higher patrol. It’s the other way around. They promised private security and NEVER hired it until after one volunteer at assaulted.
  3. The article states newton square got special treatment for extra street cleanings. But that’s because drug needles and trash was being discarded on the public sidewalk/streets.

They literally started to take to neighborhood safety measures after someone died there so if that’s success, cheers to them

It includes the 50 amp breaker, 30ish feet of 6 gage wire and a 14-50 nema RV outlet box. This was also a year and a half ago so I’m sure materials have a slight increase

I can forward you my electrician that installed a nema 14-50 for my house. It’s the best price I found and he’s licensed/insured

I’m speaking from experience. I had a Chevy bolt and switched to a Tesla. The upgrade was night and day.

Your literally talking to an investment banker. Tesla is known as a TECH car not luxury. Tesla is worth more than all of those ICE brand cars for a reason. The charging infrastructure is unmatched and is exclusive to the brand. Also you have absolute pricing which mean some sleazy car salesman won’t get you for 10-20%more than MSRP.

I literally don’t understand all the hate, if you buy another car you literally funneling money to another rich billionaire pocket; don’t want to ruin the surprise but look at who owns the car brand you just mentioned. And they are in the same side politically

Get a Tesla. They just reduced their prices and they now qualify for the $7,500 EV credit. It’s literally the cheapest time to get one before it goes back up in march

It’s always the older generation that lives in Worcester their whole lives. I never actually heard people in their early 20s hate on Worcester. It’s honestly getting so much better as a city that I really don’t understand where the negativity comes from sometimes. I run a housing group on FB and it’s always the people 40+ saying the negative remarks.
