They livestream it now on youtube starting pretty early, there's more then enough coverage for a person to get slightly bored and start muting all of the musical acts. The fireworks and drones were cool though.

Probably sold out but in the future check out the Grand Estonian Estates in Easton or Kitchen Kettle Village in Lancaster. And Jim Thorpe is pretty much always good.
Grand Estonian is a huge condo / hotel and they have some really great rooms. We rented one of the suites once - 2 bed rooms, jacuzzi plus glassed in shower, multiple bathrooms, living room, dining room, full kitchen. They even have one that has a balcony looking over the river. There's a bunch of great restaurants in the area - Stoke Pizza, plus the "farmers market" type place with a ton of restaurants in it plus things like bakeries, chocolate shops etc. Think mini Reading Terminal Market or Lancaster Market.
Kitchen Kettle Village is exactly as you'd expect - but they have gorgeous rooms and suites tucked in and above the shops. We stayed one weeked in a room over some shops, you'd use a special key to go in a side door off a walkway then take a private elevator up to your room. The windows overlooked the road and you could hear buggies at night. They also have regular hotel rooms, full suites etc. The cottage offers rooms with patio space outside, others have gazebos.
No hotel suggestion for Jim Thorpe. I've stayed in town at Airbnb's and outside town and chain hotels but there are lovely BnB's and hotels in the historic section, some haunted.

Yep, drainage ditch gully with an embankment along route 202 near the DE border. Ironically enough, right by one of the PenDOT Deer Crossing signs. We got lucky and it bounced off the hood back onto the road side, died immediately. I lost my hood, windshield, driver door, front and side panels etc. Frame was fine though. The cops who helped us load the carcass into a relative's pickup truck to be gutted and taken to the processor told us that somebody had died there a couple years ago when a foot went through the windshield and impaled them. We were hella lucky and we knew it.
For anybody wondering, when a deer jumps on your hood it does look exactly like those signs until impact at any rate. Everyone involved has about enough time to yell the curse word of their choice, including the deer.

Heh, when I had my deer / car incident we actually ended up with a police report that states absolutely - Deer Hit Car.
Damn thing jumped off an embankment and landed ON my hood.
Luckily I had a spare car, friends with a body shop, and money for beer and steaks which is how we got that car repaired without involving the insurance company.

We culled 49 million chickens last year.
That's 49,000,000 chickens that were killed, and discarded.
We didn't eat their meat, they aren't laying eggs. They're just rotting in a landfill. Avian flu tore through the barns like nobody's business. Its why the cheap eggs are gone and the more expensive eggs are roughly the same price - because they had less loss due to better animal husbandry and reduced spread of disease.

Easton has some nice things, and Jim Thorpe is just barely outside the 45 minutes, although I will admit traffic and routes can make that vary wildly.
