The phrase “BUT SOMETIMES” is such a pox upon human progress. Any change will bring about unforeseen problems, we can solve them as they crop up. Any solution being implemented is not the final version of its concept, we will adapt as we go.

That’s how she got me! I wasn’t even there to adopt, just to chill, but this tiny little lady just walked right up and started headbutting my hand and purring, I never stood a chance.

Her name at the shelter was Peppermint but I renamed her Tali because I’m a raging Mass Effect fanboy and she had a respiratory infection when I brought her home 😂

(Nothing major, just the kind of nuisance URI that tends to pop up in shelters)

Le Cat Cafe (Green Street Cat Rescue) in Brewerytown is great, it’s I think a $15 donation and you get to hang out with a whole room full of kitties. It’s where I got my girl from, she was already spayed and vaxxed so it was pretty straightforward for a first time cat dad like myself. Just be sure to bring either a mask or your vaccination card since they were still doing that last I checked.

Also, since it’d be rude not to share a picture

Ten years in grocery / counter service with good computer skills. Saw a job posting on Indeed for a catering attendant gig at an office and now I feed and caffeinate an office full of lawyers and their clients for $10k/yr more than I used to make doing like half as much work. It’s friggin great.

What’s great is now I’m getting office experience I can put in my resume which will open even more doors down the road.

Everyone I’ve ever dealt with at the MVC has been polite or at least neutral, but then again I always make sure to have my shit in order ahead of time.

Now I’ve seen other people get scolded or admonished, but they were usually gumming up the works or trying to cut corners with six points of ID or some shit. Which, yeah, they earned it.

Is… is this a My Neighbor Totoro reference using Hollow Knight characters?

Speaking of, I was also pleasantly surprised when I visited the Liberty Bell earlier this year on a whim to find that the subject of slavery and cognitive dissonance isn’t shied away from, like at all. At least half of the exhibit is dedicated to the perspectives of various marginalized and victimized demographics throughout our country’s history.
