If you needed any more evidence that Americans (especially rich, powerful ones) will sacrifice the well-being of Europeans if it means deeper pockets for them.
The pivot away from China in Europe is well-orchestrated by the US, where China is an easy scapegoat for its economic woes whilst the US continues to make deals with them behind their back. Isolating Europe from Russia, China, the Middle East is a great way to make Europe completely dependent upon the US, both economically and militarily.
After all, the only loser here is Europeans
