I don’t think that is necessarily a hard and fast rule, you can also just live somewhere uncool/undesirable. Which I don’t mind. I’m just trying to save for a house so as little money blown on rent as possible is ideal

Thanks! I grew up lower-middle class and it is disheartening to hear people over exaggerate how bad economically depressed areas are. Just because people aren’t rich somewhere doesn’t mean the area doesn’t have redeeming value. I am more concerned about actual danger than I am “trashiness”

Lmao! I would say I have a relatively high tolerance for sketch factor, but depends what kind. Shootings and break ins, definitely want to avoid that…weirdos wandering, needing to wear earplugs, I can handle myself. I am a single woman so I just don’t want to be somewhere I’ll need to be concerned walking around by myself.
