I do exactly this as well. I wear fleece lined leggings with sweatpants over them and a long sleeve shirt and hoodie inside all winter. I keep the downstairs at 55 and the upstairs at 65 (I have a senior cat so I keep her part of the house warmer. She spends 90% of her day on my bed)

Since you’re buying warmer clothes, I highly recommend getting some pairs of Darn Tough socks. They’re a VT staple and they are guaranteed to never wear out or they will replace them for free.

If this is the Richard Welch I think it is, I knew of him growing up and he is NOT a good man. He was just as depraved and disgusting as a teenager and made all the girls uncomfortable with his constant slack-jawed staring. I hope they punish him to the full extent of the law on this.

I have a pair of their moccasins going on 10+ years. I really should look into a new pair since the lining of mine is almost worn out. But they’re so comfy!

I’ve been driving with both hands on the wheel and my eyes roving the road and I’ve still just barely seen someone at the absolute last second because they are wearing nothing but dark colors and have a hood up or a dark hat on. Some of these deaths are due to the pedestrians not making themselves visible enough at night and stepping out into traffic assuming they can be seen.
