Not entirely but they have several tracks that sit in the genre easily. They’re often listed in compilations and I read the term in a book about recording studios ages ago.

The Wikipedia page even references the journos / docu makers who have them and fleetwood mac as typical examples.

It often falls under the category of ‘Yacht Rock’. But they’ve won best pop album awards.

Not unfair to call them pop fusion too and you’ll find them under the rock section in reka stowas.

This particular one is pre 80s and possibly pre 60s. The IBM 2311 platters were smaller than the one shown and dominated the industry. They date back to the 50s. My dad used to store the IBM disks in blue plastic drum containers in the shed and we were told never to “touch them or tell anyone we had them”.

People forget how slow technology used to move. I saw my first CD player in 1984 as a child and it had been out a few years even then.

If you speak one language you’re normal. Two you are bi-lingual. 5 you are polyliguist.

You don’t have to speak every one of the 7000 languages there are said to be just to be one. One guy (Mesic) apparently reported to understand 73. And another guy (Fazah) claimed 53.

Knowledge is a vast, vast domain and some people become competent or masters of one domain in a matter of several years.

There are a few examples I can think of where the sex scenes are definitely overshadowing the plot. Back Door Bashers 3, Anal Exploits 11, The ENTIRE Gay For Pay series. Ass Ventura : Crack Detective also bordered on the edge of too much, but ET : The Extra Testicle gets a bad rap.

Considering the worlds population is only 7.8bn thats quite a number there.

The real answer is The British Empire. It owned a massive chunk of the planet at one point. The US and UK then went on to be culturally dominating via music, books, films, law etc.
