Reply to Xbox one og vs Nintendo switch lite by Tywin_91
If you're able to somehow scrounge up enough cash for an Xbox Series S (even second hand) picking this up with Gamepass would be a great deal. For Gamepass if you stack up 3 years of Xbox Live Gold, you can then convert it to Gamepass Ultimate for $1 more effectively netting you 3 years for $60/year. However you can play games on XB1 with XSX performance through game streaming which is pretty sweet if you really can't afford an XSS, but of course that comes with a bit of latency, inability to play local multiplayer, no quick resume, etc.
Switch has a great library, and the Switch Lite hardware itself feels great from the few times I've tried it, but personally without the ability to plug it into a TV makes it a difficult sell. 1st party Nintendo games also always remain expensive, with discounts at most 33% off the original retail price ($56 from $80 in Canada, $40 from $60 in US for example) which means the price could rack up quickly with more game purchases if price is a concern for you. Indie games and 3rd party games tend to have the potential to be cheaper though.

Reply to Best turn-based tactical game for the switch? by Eph3w
Fire Emblem Three Houses is a lot of bang for your buck. Sort of anime wartime Harry Potter with multiple routes. Phenomenal game.
Fire Emblem Engage coming out next month.
Surprise hit Mario and Rabbids Kingdom Battle, often on sale for $20, plus the sequel just came out a couple of months ago to great reviews, Sparks of Hope.
Triangle Strategy is a gorgeous looking game that is apparently a return to form from Square Enix to strategy games of old.
Tactics Ogre Reborn is literally a Square Enix strategy game of old, remade with a lot of under the hood improvements as well as voice acting.
Diofield Chronicle was the 3rd Square Enix tactical game to release this year but I think it's more real time.
XCOM 2 collection is on Switch!
So is Civ 6.
Into the Breach is a fantastic indie tactical game with smaller levels where you know the enemy's next moves.
Wargroove is an indie love letter to Advance Wars but in a fantasy setting
Speaking about Advance Wars, the 1+2 Remake is sure to come out any day now ... right?? The Ukraine war has sadly delayed the game indefinitely.
I'm sure I'm missing more. I think you'll have better luck asking the /r/NintendoSwitch subreddit for Switch recommendations.
