Reply to comment by Sir-Nicholas in A true BIFL jacket, the Stevenson Jacket made by Boathouse. I’ve had mine for over 15 years, rowed multiple seasons in it, wore it shoveling snow, commuting in NYC, and hiking. A waterproof 3 season jacket you can still purchase. by ripgoodhomer
Seeing that other people are talking about it being for rowing, I’m guessing that’s to keep your low back covered all the time. If it was the normal length it would ride up every time you reach forward.
You don’t want it to be longer in front for… actually I don’t know why. Style? But the back part makes functional sense.

Yes, but in cases where the testing is necessary because the models aren’t able to fully replicate the animal, what steps can be taken to minimize their suffering afterwards?

In cases where animal testing is deemed necessary, what steps can be taken to improve quality of life after testing?
Are there times where the most ethical course would be euthanasia simply because the testing has such a negative impact on the animal?

I wouldn’t have thought of it either until I was trying to eat it probably.
That makes sense. From the angle I also couldn’t tell if you had souffléd it or something.

It looks really pretty. I’ve got 2 questions:
- Why not cut the asparagus?
- why not over easy eggs? Is there something else in them other than just egg?

Reply to comment by Old_Understanding325 in What are some horror movies that enjoy critical acclaim beyond the genre (i.e., are considered to be great movies overall, not just respected by horror fans)? by FeatheredVentilator
Not very scary nowadays as a pure horror movie but super effective as a thriller. That’s why it hooks up so well, they just made a film and told a story that was really good. Full stop.

Successful enough to be remembered isn’t that bad though.
