Def use the app. Once you find the bus that takes you where you need to go and if that destination is something you'll be going to often (like work or school or grocery store), you can Favorite that bus and it's easier to look up their schedule that way. Also, I pair it texting NJ Transit when I get to my stop. Each stop has its own identifying number. Look on the sign and you text the number with the bus stop number and it will tell you what buses will be heading there in the next hour. Handy for when the buses inevitably are running late.

The first truck grabs the paper/cardboard boxes. These should not be bagged. The second truck grabs the rest. I have seen lots of people put their recycling in bags, even though the website says not to. Maybe it depends on the type of bag? Blue/clear? Whatever the case, I would first separate your recycling into paper/cardboard, and then plastic/aluminum/glass. I use a cardboard box for my cardboard, and my blue bin for the rest, unbagged.

ETA: make sure your bin is visible from the street! Our recycling was missed one time because it was not visible because of parked cars. I try to move it to a place seen from the street between parked cars or by light poles.

119, 123: both have missed their departure times or never took on passengers even though they were scheduled to from Port Authority Bus Terminal. 119 misses times for pickup from designated stops on Central Ave. (this has happened four times in the last two weeks). 123: not keeping to schedule; sometimes not even showing up for two to three hours especially after 10pm. I have printed timetables of schedules saved to my mobile. Often they are late by 15-20 minutes or don’t show up at all. 88, and 87 often skip designated stops on Central Ave as well.

I rent through them as well. Coincidentally, the New Jersey Democratic Socialist party came by my apartment because they have been helping Dixon tenants form up and organize. Apparently other Dixon tenants reached out to them to help with tenant rights issues. It might be worth it to reach out to them (in addition to going to the City) to see what they know or can help with.
