Broke sucks. But maybe, just maybe, you might grow up with some kind of value system because of it. Some sort of morals or ethics that the rest of the people just dont have.

Nope. All waves whether audible or electromagnetic pass through each other without affecting each other. Its a fundamental principle of the universe. Just like almost everything in space produces a wave and most of them are undetectable without the right device.

I love the show but it definitely had too many episodes. Not just the end of season 10 during lockdown, but also previous seasons went on too long. Especially season 7 which was just one long miserable slog. They should have moved quickly into the Negan war.

Yeah I heard that on the commentary tracks. Groening and a couple of the writers mentioned it. Clip shows are cheap and usually good for ratings. I'm glad it did not continue.

Any tv series were they do basically the same thing over and over qualifies as filler. Eventually MASH stopped being original and they knew they had to kill it off.
Shows like Friends and Threes Company are ALL filler. They never have one original idea. You're just watching a group of people you like either sitting around and doing nothing, or getting up going outside and doing..... nothing.
Critics whined that Seinfeld was a show about nothing. But if you ACTUALLY PAID ATTENTION you would have noticed in every single episode they are doing something. And its something different each time. And that made it a hell of a lot better than most sitcoms up to that point.

Reply to why do series shows always have so many seemingly random people directing every episode? by OctoberRust13
because guest directors get paid more than guys with year long contracts. same as actors.
Heather Locklears agent was very smart. She got her credited as a guest star in every single episode of Melrose Place. She gets paid double what a regular would. And she can leave on a weeks notice if she wants out.

I think its cuz I felt like a loser the whole time growing up that I just never find them funny in a TV show, especially not when they are the butt-monkey.

Yeah somebody else just gave a thorough explanation and it makes more sense now. They dont really get into much detail in the show-within-the-show so I dont know how anything worked. Some of it seems silly to me.

ok cool thats a good explanation. but then it means Larry is either weird or superstitious or vain. He always has to watch his friday night show from home in his jammies and since he cant keep a woman the poor bastard is usually alone. First two seasons he had wives.
