Reply to Are there any books you're actively putting off? Is that even something other people do? by adam4231
I am reading Anna Karenina right now and it has very small chapters. If you just read a couple of chapters every day then it would be a breeze. So far it is very engaging and I am in love with it already. I think if you just start it you will find it to be pretty easy to finish. Also there is a reddit read along subreddit for it /r/yearofannakarenina/

Definitely try "Everyone in this room will someday be dead" if you haven't already.

Reply to Book choosing anxiety by sburg88
I deal with the same thing. I get anxious because I have such short amount of free time, so I only want to read good books. And I think for the same reason, I mostly only read classics because they are always a safe choice. Thankfully I actually enjoy classics. But yeah I understand what you are going through. Looking for a solution for this myself.

I don't read her books but I won't disparage her readership. However, I am getting tired of every bookstore offline and online promoting her books so much.

Lol yeah I still don't love love Amy. As a kid I hated her with passion when she burned Jo's stories. I think deep inside I still haven't forgiven her for that.

I read and loved them all. Agreed that Nan is what Jo was supposed to be.

I don't have a fixed list. But do have a general idea about the next couple of books I want to read.
