Both IMO are great consoles, I think what you have to look at is what games you want. I know for me I love the Ratchet and clank series, wanting to play both FFXVI and Spider-man 2, so ps5 is a no brainer. Or if you’re more of obsidian/Bethesda fan, then XSX would be the better option

EDIT: one thing I love about my XSX is that I’m able to take most 360 games from back in the day and pop it right in and play them. Plus brings back that nostalgic Xbox 360 swoosh

I’ve been bouncing back and forth between ps and Xbox, ps2->Xbox 360-> Xbox one and ps4 -> Xbox series x. I love having game pass especially since I run linux on my pc it’s like having a dedicated windows/gamepass box without needing windows.
