For me it depends a lot on how many people you will have. For bigger groups I’d recommend Fuji Mountain or Duba, for a smaller group either of those or Yakitori Boy.

Fuji Mountain: The most spacious private rooms in the city, decent food, strong drinks. We’ve had several parties here, it’s probably my first choice.

Yakitori Boy: The best food, SO good. Room was extremely tight, though. Can’t speak to the drinks as I was driving that night.

Lair/KTLA: Food was fine, drinks were fine, room was small, awkwardly shaped, and just not great. My least favorite, probably would not go back

Duba: This place is actually in Elkins Park, but it’s really great. The food is excellent, the cocktails are strong and really good! Even the smaller rooms are still comfortable, and their biggest room is really spacious!

All of them seemed to have pretty comprehensive song lists, I can’t really say that any of them was better or worse than the others in that regard.

Check the times online, but the light shoe at Macy’s is always a treat. You could also checkout the Christmas Carol walk through also in Macy’s, and the pop over the the Christmas village at City Hall, or stop in to Reading Terminal for an awesome meal.

Just get out there and walk. Taking a couple weeks off from work and just wandering around Philadelphia every day sounds heavenly. If you can afford it, take yourself out to min h at a new place a few times a week. Walk down streets you never have, visit tourist locations. Enjoy!
