It actually does seem silly to me, yes! I’m not a “nails done” girl at all. But a couple of my friends had this concern, and kept getting manicures constantly in case the moment came, and this solution came to mind to suggest to others that might value this.

Lol no I was thinking in case the person wanted to take pictures after! Not during the actual proposal
