Oh man, Caesar’s is my fav restaurant in town and I’ve had almost all of their menu items lol.

My personal fav is the Chipotle Shrimp. They give you flour tortillas with it so you can make lil tacos, but fuck that I just mix that shit all up, add a lil cholula and down the hatch.

Close second is Tilapia Ranchera, same story, just mix it and go ham.

If you want something super basic, try the Pollo con Queso. It’s just Mexican rice and their amazing cheese dip all mixed up with seasoned grilled chicken.

Then there’s the granddaddy of them all… The Big Tijuana. All the meats. All the sides. I think it’s like 35 bucks but it’s a great one to share.

The popusas and quesadillas and tacos are all great too. Last thing… careful for the margs, those fuckers are STRONG.

Dude I’m not disagreeing with you that all slavery is bad, and when that issue hits our ballot I will certainly vote in favor of ending it.

Assuming a NO vote would have won on our ballot for Amendment 3 this time… Would that have stopped prison labor?

I just read through your links and what you claim happens and what seems to be happening are steeped in two different realities.

For those who don’t wanna read it, the dude that owns OR 66 dispensaries has another business that trains service dogs for veterans with PTSD at no cost to them. Inmates learn how to train them and not only gain a pretty cool skill, but in my opinion, if you’re in prison, would you rather hang out with dogs all day or other inmates, some potentially dangerous?

Is unpaid prison labor wrong? Fuck yes. Does this beat stamping license plates and digging ditches? Fuck yes.

Thank you, neighbor! I was actually at the polling place where Mitch Jenkins was electioneering. He was accosting every passerby with aggressive and disingenuous talking points, sometimes from across the parking lot. Definitely rubbed folks the wrong way. My wife dressed as the Lorax and we had signs, but we sat quietly and just said hello to folks as they walked by and only answered questions if we were asked. I was worried about how we would be perceived, but after watching Mitch feign sincerity with that smug, pious, nice guy schtick, I figured we were good. We actually had quite a few people thank us for being respectful and leaving them alone. Maybe they just liked our dog, but either way, we’re proud of Springfield tonight.

That’s not what it’s going to be though. Can you imagine what ripping out 287 mature trees and plopping an Ingram mill style five story apt complex against a two lane road will do? They have no real plans for infrastructure improvements beyond a speed bump lol.

As for flooding, the current vegetation is literally the only thing holding back flooding running down the hill as well. It gets bad enough during the rainiest times.

The most important thing to note is, the neighborhood (which I am not a part of) is actually in favor of responsible development of the area in its current zone, light commercial. If they tucked a cool, modern, single story light commercial development into the trees and added greenway access, that’d be sweet! Galloway neighborhood has expressed interest in something like this. They’ve even expressed interest into rezoning for light single family residential and even light mixed use!

The real issue is city officials/real estate companies who have vested interest in $1200/mo+ apartments overlooking the park. They tried shoving this rezoning through, hoping they could dupe Springfield residents into letting private interests capitalize on one of springfields few truly green spaces in town. Corrupt AF.

Oh, and the taxes will be deferred for TEN YEARS for the developers. How will that help anybody but the investors and developers? Hate to rant, but this issue gives springfieldians a real chance at deciding what happens with our nice spaces, I hope we don’t squander it.

Please vote NO on #1.
