I used to work in receiving at Sears and this sort of shit would happen all the time. I’m sure one of my old coworkers still has a pic of the Prius with a new full sized washer and dryer loaded “in”/on it. I also remember the idiot who took his wife’s Infiniti to pick up his new Craftsman tool box, while his 3500 dually truck was parked at home.

I’d love to go solar but I can’t get over the used car dealery sales tactics and presentation. If I can’t trust what you’re telling me, I’m not gonna drop $45k+ on a solar system!

Did this about a year ago and haven’t looked back! Between my wife and I both working from home now (and neither of us stopping at DD on the way to the office) and my Ninja brewer that does Hot, Iced, AND cold brew, it’s saving us a ton!

Granted I’m one of those who does like Dunkin and will treat myself on an occasional weekend.

But then again, The Whole Donut > Dunkin.

This is good advice. While I’m saving up for one, my in-laws have one and heat their 1,600 sq ft colonial almost exclusively with their pellet insert. They use about 3 tons of pellets (~$900 this year) and 1 tank of oil a year.

I was quoted $6800 for a Harman pellet insert and install - pricy, but the Harman is the best of the best. And when I looked into this in September, they were backordered until late Feb/early March. I was also looking into mini-split heat pumps too, which are a much more efficient electric heat source, but was quoted $28,000 for that system (which also turns out was too small for my house anyway).

If you don’t mind the hard work, a wood stove works good too - I had one at my old house (with electric heat) and heated almost exclusively with the wood stove - that was back during all those crazy October storms, so firewood was free and plentiful. Too much work for me these days though.

They don’t (or at least, Go Netspeed doesn’t) do fiber optic underground.

I’m not 100% sure the Frontier does as well - they installed fiber optic cables on all the main roads in town this summer (all have poles) but none have, that I know of, made it to any of the neighborhoods in town with buried cables (mind included!). This is tough for suburbs like mine that have seem lots of subdivision developments built in the 70’s and newer.

And we still lose power too sometimes. It all depends on what happens to the above ground lines that feed the neighborhood.

Red Hill Tree Farm on Route 5 in East Windsor has them. Didn’t get ours yet but drove through today to see what they have.

You can skip all the Dzen Farms in South Windsor/Ellington. The main farm in SW was way picked over last year and none of the other Dzen Tree farms have Spruce.

No deadline…you can switch suppliers at anytime. However, I’d act fast since I think suppliers can change their offerings at anytime. With so many people jumping on board with Constellation, I’d be surprised if they continue offering this deal for much longer.

This is the answer. I had a wood stove at my old house and if the stove piping and flue weren’t already warmed up, smoke would come back into the house rather than up the chimney. This usually happened this time of year when the stove wasn’t cranking 24/7.

Open the closest window or 2 to get additional air flow up the chimney will solve the issue.
