Tell us you aren't from the area without telling us you aren't from the area. With this and the Delaware Valley comment, you are batting a thousand.

I read num nuts as nuns and thought I would totally give a bunch of nuns at a bar in Myrtle Beach requesting Philadelphia Freedom a pass if they claimed to be from the city. But no one else!

Because you know that person who grew up here is going to ask you where you went to high school and it will be embarrassing when you say "Lenape" or "Devon Prep".
I have lived here mostly since 2007, grew up in South Jersey close enough to see the skyline, and I still won't say I am from here unless I am in a different time zone. It's exhausting.

The Broad and Snyder McDonald's was something. I think it even had a play place in it? You know a place is bad when they can't lure you in with that wonderful fry smell they were piping into the street.
Anyone remember the McDonalds at 6th and South? It was the only clean bathroom around, so someone in your group would go in for cookies and the bathroom, and then hold the door for the next person.

Never said it was funny, just amazing. Just like it is amazing there are two McGlinchey apologists out there and you have found each other. Enjoy the hot dogs.

Years ago, I went to McGlinchey's with some friends on a Sunday afternoon. The place was not crowded, and the staff had about 50 fancy glass mugs on a table. My friend ordered a vodka cranberry and asked if he could have it in one of the fancy glass mugs. Our middle age waitress looked at the mugs for a minute and told him no, they weren't available. Friend then orders a hot dog and asks for it in the fancy mug and the waitress almost slapped him across the face before yelling at him to shut up about the fancy mugs. It was amazing.
No, it is not a hidden gem. But you can smoke in there because the only food they really sell is hot dogs, but not in fancy glass mugs.

Agree! Sure, you can find parking in Germantown but if you die driving to the parking spot, who cares?! I have never been passed on the right by someone making a left on red except in Germantown. Those streets are too wide!
