My stitching around the outside always comes loose. I have had 2 pairs just like the leather ones you bought. The stitching always comes loose.

Mephistos are a superior shoe. Nearly identical to Birkenstock in aesthetics.

I have Goodyear MaxLife on my Subaru. I’m not a car guy at all. Tires are tires to me. I haven’t had any issues with these either.

No. I agree with you. The stitching always comes loose on the leather ones. These are a yearly repurchase, imo, and not bifl.
