I would imagine we'll get a mix, where some people will be 100% off-grid, others will provide small amounts of power to the grid in a "virtual power plant" type operation, and big power generators will provide power for everyone else.

Could be because famous authors know how it feels. They might've been there with their first books too.

Reply to comment by SSSS_car_go in Are typos supposed to be so common in books? Or am I just ending up getting poorly edited ones? by rabidpiano86
Yes, I was going to say that just having a few typos in a book is probably an editing issue. Probably editors that are overworked and/or underpaid, so of course they're going to miss stuff. And, as a writer, I know I might occasionally use a wrong word if I get too tired or distracted.
Plus there are things that not even the best editor on the planet can fix...

That's why I don't make "your mom" jokes by default. Some people can be really sensitive about their relationships with their parents (or, sometimes, lack thereof).

It could've started that way, but the higher-ups were equally at fault for not checking. At best, you look ignorant and incompetent if you're a senior manager or C-suite professional and don't know what's going on in at least your own department.
