Reply to I have a week off next week. I live in Eastern MA. How can I take advantage of this? by the_ok_seltzer
I mean all these are great answers but the correct approach is to go to Miami. It’s February in New England and you have a week off. Why do you think we’ve all allowed Florida to stick around for this long?

Reply to Running in Cambridge Ma. by Fit-Branch6905
Notch Brewing in Brighton (but close to Cambridge) has runs on Thursday evenings and Saturday late morning. Good group, mix of paces, delicious beer.

Reply to How to find a tailor for a good value? by little-bug42
I’ve only tried one and it’s Jack’s on Mass Ave near Porter. Only men’s clothing but I’ve had a positive experience there. That said I didn’t do any intense tailoring (taking a shirt in, hemming pants, etc) and I don’t remember what it cost. Good luck!

Reply to Which is better day trip for this time of year - Cape Cod or mountain climb in the Whites? by kohlrabi_codex
It’ll be challenging for a day trip — depending on ferry schedules and your own initiative to get up early — but I love Nantucket this time of year. Awesome bike paths, beaches, whaling museum, fun town and restaurants.

Alternatively you can make your own eggnog, especially ideal if you plan to make it boozy. It’s a fun project and not super difficult. Bonus points if you leave the eggs uncooked.
