i think ICE engine and specific parts add more weight than their electric counterparts.

from a scientific point of view that is just extrapolation or gibberish talk. energy density data of the new system is enough as relevant information.

i think that ultimately people enjoy the idea to be able to provide at least a part of their own energy and be somehow independent.
