Reply to why did Hoots Wings close? by Thecomputerkid94
It took them 25 minutes to make an order.
It was damn expensive.
It gave you choice paralysis on how you could have your wings.
It never produced any marketing or offers.
It had zero visibility on the street.
It picked the protein that has increased in price massively in the last 2 years.
It was Hooters with the wings but no breasts. And no atmosphere. Its gimmick was to be gimmickless.
Go get a Chicken Lollipop at Franklin Social's Happy Hour or anything from Bobwhite, everyone wins.

Food is great here and the service even better. Shame they're not open in the evenings.

This, 1000%.
Also the ShopRite in Hoboken is from another dimension compared to Marin's, though that is getting better. 99 Ranch is excellent for Chinese/Korean/Japanese/some Euro fare plus some branded things are very cheap there. Morton Williams is expensive, and I only ever get bread and some fancy things at Key Foods om Jersey but never ever their fruit, veg and milk.
Get most of my branded groceries from Acme in Newport though. Staff are nice too, and if you're missing anything, Target is the other side.
You can only shop at Whole Foods if you're from the year 2375.

Both excellent and quite distinct in their own ways. Happy to help via DM if you want. We moved to JC sight unseen during the height of pre vaccine lockdown but landed on our feet with bars, travel and shops.
And Paulus Hook might have a Whole Foods before the next Ice Age...
You're probably seeing lots of good and bad recommendations for which letting agents/developers to go with so I could also help there with my completely biased and brilliant opinion!

How do! Brit in Hamilton Park, via LA first.
There are places with back yards more than good enough for 2 dogs but depending on their sociability, there are lots of dog parks and dog runs plus a lot of places are very dog friendly making urban or waterside walking an ease.
Your budget will probably be good with a work move. I'd highly recommend Hamilton Park or DTJC below Columbus. Either location, you're close to the PATH stations.
Hoboken is ok but floods a lot and is full of college kids. Easy to get to though for excellent shopping and restaurants. Out in the 'burbs is ok but you will need a car. We hardly use ours. Compromise is hire at weekends when needed from Avis or Hertz.
DM if you want to know more!

Reply to comment by ebrown205 in Greetings! Any recommendations for good cheesecake downtown? 🍰 Asking for a friend (me). Thanks! by literarytswift
Cangianos do a Peanut Butter Cheesecake for $4.99 and it's way beyond what Cheesecake Factory can make. They swap and flip the flavours around weekly; for the price and deliciousness, they're unsurpassable!
New York Cheesecake is good, but Cangianos' Jersey City Cheesecake is better!

Reply to Smorgasburg isn’t coming back to JC by SirTitsMcGee
The bar is great, with the tacos and pizza enough. A lot of the vendors at Smorgasburg JC were just weak. $14 for duck fat fries that take 40 minutes? Nope.
The bar is wonderfully staffed with a huge selection of usually cheaper local ales, cannot fault it.
