I lived in Newington for a few years and multiple people got their catalytic converters stolen. I got the cops called on me because I was in our apartment parking lot at 4 AM and they assumed I was stealing CATs.

I have seen Westport PD parked perpendicular to 95 and Shelton PD parked perpendicular to Route 8. Looked just like a speed trap both times but I couldn’t say for sure.

Hey y’all! I just moved out of Central CT. The best hike I ever found was Rattlesnake Mountain in Farmington. There is some rock climbing there too if you’d like. The Trout Brook Trail in West Hartford is a nice flat, paved walk if you prefer, then you could grab lunch in the center. There’s bowling on the Berlin Turnpike and if you like arcades, they have a Dave and Buster’s in Manchester.
