Here's what I've gathered; Power problem at Arlington, Shuttle Busses between Blandford Street and Govt Center
Northern trams turn around at Govt Cntr
B branch turn around at BU East/Blandford; C & D turn around at Kenmore; E turn around at MFA/Northeastern - 39 Bus offered as alternative btwn MFA and Copley
Power dept has been on site for over 1 hour

Look into who is performing at Symphony Hall and/or any of the many theaters in town! All of the larger theatres are gorgeous inside and would surely impress (and provide a chance to sit down inside) just keep an eye on accessibility since a few of the venues don't have elevators to upper levels.
