the beard mostly, lol. like he doesn’t seem the type but he’s one flannel shirt away from paul bunyan in my mind. i hope you two are able to maintain amicable terms. he seems willing to at least maintain that. and i mean, complimenting you in the wedding dress and his chest not being healed certainly implies (to me at least) that he has maintained at least affection towards you.

also, tom being named is curious. if he’s threatening to kill the rabbit, he knows what it is. does he have it captive somewhere? raises more questions than it answers, but at least you have a lead at last.

about your mother; i’m obviously sorry you had to go through such a traumatic experience, and only hope you gain some comfort in her death insofar as she isn’t going through such trauma now. i know that’s not much consolation and one you’ve likely heard before.
