I tried to attend the parade for the first time in forever. I thought it technically started at 9am, so I hung around on Broad for like 1.5 hours around noon. I saw maybe 4 groups go by? Why does it take fucking 20mins for anything to happen? I wish there was some kind of schedule or...anything.
Honestly happy the crowd was all having fun, saw some friends, the whole event felt less "white Italian-pride douchefest" than in the past, so that's great. But I can't see myself going back next year to watch a 6 hour parade where practically nothing happens?

Do they? I guess. You didn't get the 1 free xfer for the last 28 years MTA required a Metrocard, if I recall, if you paid cash; I could be misremembering that though. I'm not here to say SEPTA is great - their communication su ks bad. But I think if you had your keycard linked to the SEPTA app now you could have used the scanner for the app, you wouldn't have needed your card and could pay for you and a guest. Or your guest could buy a keycard. It's what you had to do up to a year or so ago in Chicago as well.

I somehow never went there before until about 2 years ago. I was just there 2 weeks ago and it looked unchanged from my first visit, for what that's worth.

You can just keep a Key Card in your wallet? You get the $5 purchase price back when you link it to the app. Just load a few bucks on it for the infrequent times you may need to ride and you won't be paying for xfers.

This was an absolutely wild read. These women are wonderful and possibly crazy to do this. It seems like the cops did... basically nothing besides posing holding the baby.

Damn photos like this make me so thankful for birth control and family planning. Can't imagine my life as a woman even 70 years ago.

It's the characters from Dark Shadows, I'd watch this cast.

Angelos and Riccis are close by and much better, of course more expensive too. I always liked Ishkabibble's chicken cheesesteak although I haven't had it in like 10yrs. Roast pork sandwich >>>> cheesesteak IMO so I'm maybe not the best judge.
