Reply to Can someone explain the justification for having "private" beaches? It seems like access to natural attractions should be free. by SnooBooks4898
I believe they should be free (libre) but not free (gratis). Everyone should be able to access the beaches but it makes sense to collect some revenue since upkeep costs money. It should be no different than a state park.

If an email used that design motif on the wall I would assume it’s a scam email. Looks like someone a Nigerian scammer would make in MS paint.

You know I actually like New Jersey. I don’t hate the state or disagree with the politicians. I don’t mind paying my SALT taxes (of which we pay a shit load). I have no desire to move south. But there a lot of seriously entrenched corruption in this state that should be cleaned up.

We’ll that’s ironic. People’s whose inflated salaries paid by tax dollars complaining about taxes. Are they willing to take a pay cut to lower taxes?

Well on top of replying to the wrong person, what you're saying is incorrect.
Statewide, the low income limit for Section 8, for a household consisting of 2 people is $71,500. So yes, a couple making $65k does qualify. This information is compiled by HUD and easily available online. You're free to verify it on your own.

Another challenge is that they likely won’t have any consumer credit history. So renting an apartment or buying a car would be quite challenging.

Every country has their own problems they need to work on. Your suggestion would be that no one can help because no country is problem free. There’s a shit idea here, but it’s not globalism.

It’s kind of what Trump said about COVID, but the other way around: “if we stop testing right now, we'd have very few cases”.
It’s not that we have a higher percentage of the population on the spectrum, it’s that other places let many many more people go undiagnosed.

It’s not legal. Inspection in NJ is a joke. All they do is plug a computer in the OBD-II port to check the emissions system. If that passes the car can be falling apart and still pass.

I got $100 off an ecobee through them and it took almost 3 months to get it even though it was listed as “in stock” when I placed the order. They kept giving me a runaround and stringing me along by giving fake delivery dates. For three months. Honestly more trouble than the savings was worth.
